Mud Majik Pottery

Stoneware Pottery and Sculpture from the Appalachian Mountains

My name is Crystal, I am the potter, and owner of Mud Majik Pottery.  I make functional stoneware pottery, sculpture, coal forged ironwork, drawings, and whatever else may inspire me at the moment.    So many ideas, yet, so little time!

Please take time to look around, especially the photo gallery where you will find images of my work. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me. If you would like to be notified of updates to this website, please subscribe!

Thanks,  ~Crystal~

About Mud Majik Pottery:

Mud Majik Pottery came into creation in the spring of 2000.  The studio is located in the beautiful Appalachian mountains of Western North Carolina.  With many thanks to family and friends, the studio is now permanently housed in my grandparents 80+ year old barn, which is in the process of being restored into a wonderfully inspirational studio space.

The Pottery:

Mud Majik Pottery is made completely by hand.  No molds are used in the process.  Each piece is individualy turned on a potters wheel, or handbuilt using traditional sculptural and slab techniques.  All glazes are food safe, non-toxic, and completely lead FREE.

I make pots with USE in mind.  I strive to make a good quality product, that will withstand the rigors of use for years to come.

I most enjoy making the sculptural pieces.  I love to make face pots, and whimisical creatures, each piece with an expression and a personality of its own.  If i can make just one person stop and smile, it makes the process completely worth while.  Most of my sculptural pots, are also utilitarian pieces, still completely usable, but with attitude!
